Lost in a warehouse for 33 years!
The amazing BIG BOX Wizard Video Collection! This is truly a rare
discovery and little part of the early days of the home video explosion!
Mutilation murders occur with increasing savagery in a city. The nature of these murders - vital organs ripped from the victims' bodies - leads to the C.I.A., headed by Holman (Wendell Corey) to the conclusion that the former chief of Astro Space Laboratory, Dr. DeMarco (John Carradine) has succeeded in creating an Astro-Man, a zombie with a defective brain!
DeMarco, missing since his dismissal from the Space Center, has secreted himself in an old mansion on the outskirts of the city. There he continues experiments on human bodies with the aid of a deformed assistant.
Foreign agents from hostile governments are also trying to locate DeMarco to force him to put his knowledge in their hands. The exotic and voluptuous Satanna (Tura Satana) working with two vicious killers reduce the competition by torture and threat, brutally massacring some of Holman's men. The subsequent mutilation of a beautiful technician at the Space Lab, leads Holman to set a trap for the zombie, by planting another girl as bait.
The suspense tightens when the zombie attacks the girl after Holman's men are gone. After a desperate fight the zombie is tracked down, back to DeMarco's mansion. Meanwhile the spies are embroiled in ever deepening intrigue, but manage to find DeMarco's lab with a frequency rectifier.
An explosive finale is inevitable. Holman's men surround the mansion, trapping Satanna inside with DeMarco and the zombies. A bloody gun battle follows, with the zombies butchering indiscriminately. DeMarco is shot down by Satanna but not before he throws the master switch that deactivates the zombies forever, burying his secret under a mass of electronic rubble.

An early pioneer in the home video business, Charles Band started both MEDA
HOME ENTERTAINMENT in the late 70’s and WIZARD VIDEO in 1980.
After releasing features like THE GROOVE TUBE, FLESH GORDON and TUNNELVISION
in the standard VHS box format WIZARD VIDEO introduced the oversized “big VHS
box” which featured lurid titles such as ZOMBIE, I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE, DEMONIAC
& BREEDERS! After a few short years of these big VHS box releases WIZARD
VIDEO returned to the standard size VHS box as retailers were quickly running
out of shelf space. A fond memory for people who grew up in the video store era
of the early 80’s - the big VHS box has become a rare collectable due to its
scarcity and (usually poor) condition. And now a treasure trove of original big
VHS boxes was found late last year in one of Charles Band’s and Full Moon’s
many overcrowded warehouses! 36 features are represented in this discovery with
quantities ranging from 180 boxes to 420 boxes. The 30+ year old big VHS boxes
are in mint condition as they have never been out of their original shipping
